Job Brief:

As a Service Writer, you will be responsible for managing the service department's daily operations. You will work closely with customers to understand their needs and provide them with accurate estimates and invoices. You will also communicate with technicians to ensure that repairs are completed on time and to the customer's satisfaction.

Detailed Responsibilities:

  • Welcome customers courteously and understand their requirements by actively listening and asking relevant questions to assess their needs accurately.
  • Listen to customers and thoroughly explain the range of services available, providing information about each service to help customers make informed decisions.
  • Manage the service department's schedule efficiently, coordinating appointments for service or repair.
  • Create detailed estimates for customers, outlining the scope of the work and cost, ensuring complete transparency and understanding.
  • Coordinate closely with service technicians to track the progress of repairs, promptly updating customers on the status and any potential changes in the initial estimate.
  • After service completion, follow up with customers to ascertain their level of satisfaction, addressing any concerns, and building long-term customer relationships.
  • Accurately maintain and update service transaction records, ensuring all details, such as customer information and service provided are documented for future reference and accountability.
